1. Who is responsible
This website is the personal portfolio of Hubert José Pires Van Den Dungen, based in Lisbon, Portugal, who is the controller of the personal data described here. It presents past work and does not sell goods or services directly. For any privacy question or request, write to hubertdungen@gmail.com.
2. What is collected and why
Contact form
When you send a message through the contact form, I receive your name, email address and message. They are used only to reply and to follow up on what you asked. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible collaboration, or my legitimate interest in answering messages (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
If you write directly, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and use it to answer you, on the same legal basis.
Technical data
To deliver and protect the website, the hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Cookies and external players
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from this domain.
Some pages can show music and video players from SoundCloud (SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG, Germany) and Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., United States). These players load only after you click “Allow external players”. Once loaded, those services may set cookies and receive your IP address under their own policies: SoundCloud and Vimeo. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Until you allow them, each player is replaced by a notice and a direct link to the track or video.
Your choice is stored only in your browser and never sent to me. You can withdraw your consent at any time:
4. Who processes the data
The website and contact form submissions are hosted by Netlify, Inc., acting as processor. Netlify is based in the United States; transfers are covered by Netlify’s Data Processing Agreement, which incorporates the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Netlify may use sub-processors, for example to filter spam from form submissions. Email is handled by Google (Gmail). Personal data is never sold or rented.
Links to LinkedIn, Instagram, GitHub, SoundCloud, Redbubble and other sites open those services, which apply their own privacy policies.
5. How long it is kept
Messages are kept for as long as needed to reply and follow up on your request. If no collaboration follows, they are deleted within 12 months of the last contact.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Send your request to hubertdungen@gmail.com; you will get a reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt).
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
