A public doorway into Portuguese defence history. I was responsible for the portal design, developed through the Portuguese Air Force.

History, brought into one frame.
The original background brings together aviation, the sea and figures on land. Its restrained tones connect the artwork to the archival subject.
02 / THE PUBLIC PORTAL
A shared place for memory.
The Institutions of the Memory of Defence brought information about the history of Portuguese defence and the Armed Forces into a public online library.
MY ROLE
Designing the doorway.
The Portuguese Air Force was responsible for the portal’s design. I was the designer in charge of this visual presentation and interface.
The original portal is currently unavailable. This case study preserves the 2018 interface and artwork.
