Museu do Ar / Campaign / 2019
NOITE
dos MUSEUS
A city after dark. An aircraft in the light. A visual world inviting the public into the Air Museum for a night of aviation.
One night. Many surfaces.
The campaign moves from a printed poster to Facebook and the museum’s website, keeping its illuminated city and aviation imagery.
An open door to aviation.
The 2019 event offered aircraft displays, Portuguese aeronautical history and an introduction to the modern Air Force mission. The programme brings the practical information into the campaign’s visual world.
Out into the night.
T-shirts distributed during the event, carrying the museum and campaign identities beyond the poster.
Behind the artwork
Building the city.
Shaping the light.
A city with depth.
I built the architecture with Illustrator’s 3D tools, then developed the base colours, title and typography.
Light after dark.
In Photoshop I added texture, light, shadows and text effects, then refined the palette with a LUT colour treatment.
One world, many formats.
I adapted the finished artwork for digital advertising, printed information and event merchandise.
Part of the Night of Museums initiative, first proposed by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication in 2005 and supported by ICOM. The Portuguese Air Force Air Museum marked it with free admission and activities for the public.
